Internships for the 2019-2020 school year have been filled.  If you are interested in applying for an internship for the 2020-2021 school year, please see the application requirements and procedures below. 

 

To apply for a school counselor internship, send application materials (resumé and cover letter) to:

Applications may be submitted electronically via email to smithe@district279.org

Include the following in your cover letter:

  • Level requested for placement (elementary, middle school, high school)
  • Number of hours required for each level requested
  • Availability during the year (spring, fall, all year, flexible, etc)

Deadline for materials to be received is January 17, 2020.  

After your materials have been reviewed: if you have been chosen as an intern candidate, a member of the student services staff will contact you to arrange for an interview.  Interviews for internships during the 2020-2021 school year will be held on one date only and will be published when confirmed.  

Interns receiving placements will be required to provide additional information. These include, but are not limited to, a background check and a planning meeting with your site supervisor(s).
