Osseo Area Schools welcomes new principals to serve at Fair Oaks, Oak View and Weaver Lake: A Science, Math and Technology elementary schools beginning July 2019. 

Fair Oaks Elementary Principal Sara Looby

Sara Looby (pictured left) is currently serving in her fourth year as an assistant principal at Maple Grove Middle School. In addition to her four years of experience as an assistant principal, Sara has been supporting students and staff for over eight years in her role as a staff development and assessment specialist and elementary school teacher at Fernbrook and Zanewood elementary schools. 

She earned her undergraduate degree in elementary/middle school education from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, her graduate degree in educational leadership from the University of St. Thomas, and her K-12 principal licensure from Hamline University.

Oak View Elementary Principal William Kuendig

William (pictured in center) is currently serving in his fourth year as an assistant principal at Osseo Senior High School. William completed a two-year administrative internship at Humboldt Secondary School in St. Paul. Additionally, William served as an achievement & equity specialist for Wayzata Public Schools and has seven years of classroom teaching experience from Wayzata High School and Curie Metropolitan High School in Chicago, Illinois.

William earned undergraduate degrees in German and international studies from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. After a year of teaching English in Chile, William completed a graduate degree in teaching from American University and completed his administrative licensure at Hamline University.

Weaver Lake Elementary: A Science, Math and Technology School Principal Lena Christiansen

Lena (pictured right) is currently serving in her seventh year as principal at Dayton's Bluff Achievement Plus Elementary in St. Paul. She has been an assistant principal as well as a teacher on special assignment for the St. Paul school district. Lena taught third and fifth grade in St. Paul for 14 years.

Lena holds an undergraduate degree in elementary and special education from Luther College, and a graduate degree in curriculum and instruction from St. Catherine's University. She received her administrator licensure from the University of Minnesota.
