Aaron Krueger, principal at Edinbrook Elementary, is a recipient of the 2018 Minnesota Elementary School Principals’ Association (MESPA) Division Leadership Award.
This award honors principals whose exemplary leadership has allowed them to make positive contributions to effective school learning programs—improving education, their communities and their profession.
With more than 750 students at Edinbrook, Krueger strives to build community and enhance relationships with the school’s families every day. One way he achieves this is by greeting students outside as they make their way to school—rain or shine.
“The value of having a relationship with those you serve and those that want to help you serve—there’s nothing greater,” Krueger told CCX News in an interview last fall. “It is the most critical work I think that I can do as a leader.”
Krueger is MESPA’s North Suburban Division winner and one of 12 elementary principals from Minnesota to receive a Division Leadership Award this year. Winners were selected by their MESPA peers and honored at the “MESPYs” on Feb. 8.
