As a kick-off for their H20 for Life fundraising effort, North View Middle School invited adventurer and safe water advocate, Katie Spotz to visit and share about her world record-breaking solo row across the Atlantic Ocean. Spotz also advocates to raise awareness about the global water crisis. She has partnered with H20 for Life in a nationwide initiative to raise $250,000 for water projects including bringing clean water, improved sanitation and hygiene education to the developing world. Over the last three years, North View Middle School staff and students have exceeded their fundraising goals for H20 for Life through a penny drive and other activities. This year, the school’s goal is to contribute to community by raising $1,500 for H20 for Life.
