Digital Photography

Course Description:

This is an introductory course in digital photography. Topics of study will include: history of photography, camera design and operation, picture-taking techniques, image correction and alteration, Photoshop basics and photo presentation techniques.  This class will fulfill the Media Arts graduation requirement.

Course Standards:

  1. Develop an understanding of the influence of photo technology on history.
  2. Develop the abilities to use & maintain technological products & systems.
  3. Explore the design process and apply it to their work.
  4. Develop an understanding of and be able to select and use information and communication technologies.

Present/evaulate individual and peer portfolios.
